Fertilization Technician

Location: Scottville, MI

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job Summary

Are you a dependable and safety-focused professional who enjoys working outdoors? We’re seeking a Fertilization Technician to join our team in Scottville, MI. In this role, you’ll apply fertilizers, weed control, and other turf treatments to residential and commercial properties while ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Mixing, transporting, and applying fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides accurately
• Operating and maintaining equipment such as ride-on sprayers, push spreaders, and spray pumps
• Following all MDARD regulations, label requirements, and safety protocols
• Maintaining accurate service records including product usage, treatment areas, and weather conditions
• Communicating professionally with customers and inspecting lawns for issues

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Core + 3A, 3B, 7A, 7F)
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card and Chauffeur’s License within 30 days
• Prior lawn care or fertilization experience preferred

Skills:

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or on a team
