Registered Nurse – Neuro Stepdown
Schedule: Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15) Weekend requirement: Minimum 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13–26 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week options
Requirements: Minimum 2 years acute care experience Neuro stepdown / PCU/IMC/Telemetry experience required Must be able to titrate levothyroxine (LEVO) Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS EPIC charting experience
Roles & Responsibilities: Provide care to neurological intermediate and medical intermediate patients. Monitor vital signs and patient condition using telemetry. Administer medications and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips, following protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and families about recovery processes and health management.
Compliance / Notes: Orientation: 32 hours (including an 8-hour computer class and two unit shifts) Must pass EKG testing prior to start RTO after booking is not allowed; call-offs/additional RTO may result in cancellation/did not report (DNR) Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
