Hello Hilo Restaurant

Hello Hilo is excited to bring Hawaiian Food to our 'Ohana in Gainesville. We are seeking a Back of House Team Members for our restaurant to help us create an experience for the community by sharing irresistible food and Aloha Spirit.

Company Summary: Hello Hilo is a new, fast casual restaurant bringing Hawaii-inspired eats & treats to Gainesville, GA. Developed by the Taira family, founders of KING'S HAWAIIAN, Hello Hilo is named for Hilo, HI where Robert R. Taira opened his first bakery more than 70 years ago. This oasis destination will offer a refreshing Hawaiian island experience in Northeast Georgia with a unique and delicious menu served with the 'Aloha Spirit'.

Job Summary

A Back of House Team Member is responsible for delivering irresistible experiences to all guests at Hello Hilo. In doing so, Back of House Team Members can be expected to work in a variety of positions, including cook, fry, prep, dishwashing, and assembly.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but aren't limited to:

• Prepare all dishes on the menu with an emphasis on taste and food quality with the goal of exceeding all expectations
• Ensure proper presentation of plates in a timely manner to guests
• Keep food areas organized and ready for daily business and rush times
• Understand and comply with all general and specific safe job procedures that apply to this job including using knives safely, wearing slip resistant shoes, utilizing proper lifting techniques
• Follow all correct procedures to label, date, and store food
• Organize and maintain incoming products and stores in the proper locations
• Execute exceptional cleanliness standards in all tasks
• Complete side work and work in cross-trained positions when needed
• Maintain an excellent level of food, service, health, and safety standards to ensure safety for all team members and guests

Skills/Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant/kitchen operation
• Proficient in English with clear verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math and computing skills
• Must thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Must be flexible on schedule and process, able to pivot and change easily
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time during shift
• Ability to arrive on time ready to work for all assigned shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
