- Responsible for maintaining command readiness for Joint Commission (JC) surveys.
- Prepares documentation, written reports, and presentations for the Executive Board on compliance with JC standards.
- Provides education to all levels of staff on JC standards implementation and compliance.
- Collects data and conducts hospital-wide and department specific studies (clinical/non-clinical) to promote and improve organizational performance.
- Collects, collates and displays data utilizing appropriate computer software, spreadsheets, statistical and performance improvement tools and other technical modalities as appropriate
- The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing hospital-wide department minutes, instructions and procedures for informational purposes and/or updating/revising internal instructions and procedures for the department when appropriate.
- Communicates pertinent information to the Department Head related to program evaluation of operation and milestones.
- The incumbent will be responsible for retrieving patient information from a variety of data sources including medical records and hospital computer systems (MHS GENESIS).
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- This position is subject to TDY or business travel requirements to various locations. This may require travel via privately owned vehicles, commercial transport platforms, and/or military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In making this determination, the agency may consider your performance and conduct; agency needs and interests; whether your continued employment supports organizational or Government goals; and whether it promotes the efficiency of the Federal service. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest.
- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
- Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
- Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates.

- Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
