High Yield Credit Analyst

Desk AnalystAs a Desk Analyst on Susquehanna's Systematic Credit team, you will partner with our senior analysts and traders to identify investment opportunities in the credit and bond market. Desk analysts provide real-time opinions on breaking news and in-depth analysis of future events. You will be responsible for finding opportunities that other market participants may not be capitalizing on, either by discovering new information or considering existing knowledge from a different perspective. Analysts are embedded in a strategy-focused trading desk and the analysis you provide will directly impact trading decisions.At Susquehanna we place a high value on education and development. This role provides the unique opportunity to combine the quantitative aspects of finance with creative problem solving in order to develop trade ideas in a fast-paced proprietary trading environment.In this role, you will:Identifying opportunities in and analyzing the fundamental credit position of companies in high yield bondsProviding real-time opinions on breaking news on a corporate and macro levelEvaluating special situations such as mergers and acquisitions and other corporate actionsCollaborating with fixed income, ETF and derivative traders on investment ideasService trading counterparties through communicating market and issuer commentaryPerforming in depth financial analysis on possible credit events in collaboration with equity analystsWhat we're looking for:Bachelor's degree requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in financial marketsActive FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses requiredExperience in credit analysis, fixed income trading and/or cross-asset researchCFA or progress towards CFA qualification is a plusStrong written, analytical, and financial research skillsDemonstrable interest in macroeconomic environment and political eventsAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environmentFamiliarity with a trading environment and derivative products preferredMust be a self-starter, a quick learner, an effective communicator, and resourceful in solving problemsWillingness to work additional and flexible hours when necessaryVisa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future
