Key Responsibilities

1.

Performs advanced floor care services, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and refinishing of hard floor surfaces.

2.

Maintains carpets and upholstery through extraction, shampooing, and spot cleaning.

3.

Executes scheduled floor maintenance activities to ensure consistent appearance and durability of flooring surfaces.

4.

Responds to immediate floor care needs, including spills, safety hazards, and urgent cleaning requests.

5.

Operates and maintains floor care equipment, ensuring proper and safe use at all times.

6.

Maintains cleanliness and organization of cleaning equipment, storage areas, and designated workspaces.

7.

Supports daily cleaning and environmental readiness needs when floor care workload allows or urgent needs arise.

8.

Reports damaged flooring, equipment issues, safety concerns, supply needs, or areas requiring attention.

9.

Adheres to all safety, infection prevention, and compliance standards while performing assigned duties.

10.

Assists with emergency response procedures as directed, including participation in drills and evacuation support.

11.

Assists with basic grounds or exterior cleanliness needs, including debris removal, as directed.

12.

Assists with onboarding or informal training of new team members as needed.

13.

Supports Environmental Services or Facilities functions during high-volume or urgent needs, as assigned.

14.

Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Ranken Jordan is dedicated to delivering services to patients with complex medical needs, including infants, children, and adolescents.

Education and Experience Required:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior housekeeping, floor care, environmental services, or facilities experience required

Experience operating floor care equipment preferred

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, floor care workflows, and safety practices

Ability to operate floor care equipment safely and effectively

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities

Ability to maintain high quality standards and identify gaps in floor appearance or safety

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to manage time and complete tasks within assigned schedules

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor finishes, carpet care, and equipment maintenance preferred
