Role Description This part-time Registered Dental Hygienist role is an on-site position located in Sandy Springs, GA. The hygienist will perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and dental prophylaxis, while monitoring and documenting oral health conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing periodontal health, identifying signs of periodontal disease, taking and reviewing radiographs as needed, and supporting dentists with clinical procedures. The role involves educating patients on proper hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to improve overall oral health. The hygienist will also maintain strict infection control protocols, ensure accurate charting, and collaborate with the dental team to provide a positive, efficient patient experience. Qualifications Strong clinical skills in dentistry and dental care, including performing dental prophylaxis and supporting restorative and preventive procedures. Demonstrated expertise in hygiene practices, with the ability to assess and manage periodontal disease and promote long-term oral health. Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Georgia, in good standing. Knowledge of infection control standards, radiography, and electronic dental record systems. Excellent communication and patient education skills, with a calm, professional chairside manner. Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary dental team and manage time in a busy clinical setting.
