The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. RESPONSIBILITIES

Take an active role and partner with the Store Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of the store. Handle all day‑to‑day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. Provide coaching, training, and development to Store Employees. Maintain Customer/Donor relations, resolve complaints and ensure service is quick and efficient. Communicate personnel issues to Management; issue disciplinary warnings, conference reports, employee evaluations and goals. Ensure store is maintained at ARC Merchandising Standards and inventory levels are adequate. Oversee Back Room Processing and ensure Material Handlers achieve daily processing goals. Ensure adequate change, safeguard cash, and bank receipts per ARCC policy. Assist Store Manager in establishing safety measures consistent with ARC policy and regulations. Implement loss prevention measures. Perform other duties as assigned by Management, Retail Directors and Command Administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma/GED or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience. Accurate handling of POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions. Valid Driver’s license with proof of insurance. Pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry. Effective communication with management, staff, customers, and donors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts. Ability to move product up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks. Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

SCHEDULE

Store operates 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage. Full-time associates may work any full-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
