Substance Abuse Counselor

CRC is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide counseling, assessments, treatment planning, case coordination, and recovery support to individuals with substance use disorders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in substance abuse, behavioral health, or addictions treatment preferred.
• CADC or other state certification preferred; certification eligibility considered.
• Strong communication, counseling, documentation, and crisis-intervention skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Must be available to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
• Support clients with recovery and relapse prevention.
• Coordinate referrals and community resources.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical staffing and team meetings.
