Health Physicist - 356940

TGC Talent is partnering with an established environmental services client to hire Health Physics Technicians to support its radiological safety operations. Junior and senior openings are available.

About the Role

This non-exempt position supports the site’s Radiological Control Program. You’ll do hands-on radiological monitoring and provide training and oversight for radiation workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct radiological surveys, including radiation, contamination, airborne, and environmental monitoring
• Implement and support Radiation Work Permits
• Observe and coach radiation workers on safe work practices
• Deliver on-the-job training for radiation workers
• Document compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements
• Perform instrument calibrations
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Support additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with radioactive material (low-level waste experience welcome)
• Ability to work shift schedules
• Willingness to complete the company’s Health Physics Technician qualification within 6 months and Senior Health Physics Technician qualification within 18 months

Compensation

• Junior: $26.00 to $35.87/hr
• Senior: $31.00 to $57.79/hr
• Pay depends on experience

Work Environment

Continuous field and facility work with potential exposure to radiation, noise, and dust.
