Responsibilities Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations Evaluate and diagnose patients rapidly and accurately Administer treatment plans and manage critical conditions Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care Participate in continuous education and training opportunities Adhere to established medical protocols and standards of practice Requirements Position Details for Emergency Medicine Coverage Specialty : Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) Coverage Period : July to September 2026 Shift Schedule : Available shifts from 7 PM to 8 AM or 8 AM to 7 PM; candidates should specify available days in their presentation Type of Privileges : Hospital‑based Work Setting : Outpatient and inpatient (Emergency Department primarily operates as outpatient) Patient Demographics : Diverse populations Patient Volume : Approximately 41 patients per day Required Procedures : Standard emergency room procedures Staffing : Solo practice, though day shifts may have Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assistance Electronic Medical Record System : EPIC Certification Requirements Board Certification in Emergency Medicine Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)/Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications (from American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Licensure Candidates must possess an active Oregon license at the time of application Clinical Activity Requirement Documentation of clinical activity within the last 24 months is required, including case logs that demonstrate the provision of emergency medicine services reflecting the scope and complexity of requested privileges. #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
