Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a pediatric hospital MRI unit, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and pediatric experience preferred.

Details

• Work in the MRI unit of a newly built (May 2026) Level II pediatric trauma center with 152 total beds, including 70 Level IV NICU beds
• Patient population is pediatric, ages 0–18, covering all types and diagnoses
• Shift schedule includes Sundays 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, Saturdays 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, and Monday & Tuesday 8-hour mid shifts from 12:00 PM–8:30 PM
• 40 hours per week on a 13-week contract
• Weekend rotation is dependent upon the shift taken
• Occasional on-call required: approximately one weeknight call shift per week, or day shift call on weekends for specific exams to cover sick calls or emergencies
• No floating required
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
• PACS: Change Healthcare
• Primary equipment: Siemens Magnetom Sola 1.5T with Deep Resolve processing

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience; pediatric experience preferred
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Washington state license required (license required if applicable)
• Proficiency with IV starts required
• Experience assisting with coordination of sedation services
• Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills, with patience and kindness when working with pediatric patients and their families
• At least one supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start

Additional Information

• Perform MRI examinations on pediatric patients aged 0–18, including a wide range of diagnoses and case types
• Assist with coordination of sedation services as needed
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Free garage and street parking available on-site; local light rail is a convenient alternative if parking is limited
