Director of Fundraising

The Queer Film Collective (QFC) is seeking a Director of Fundraising to lead and oversee the organization’s fundraising and development efforts. This is a leadership role responsible for building a sustainable fundraising strategy that supports QFC’s programs, operations, growth, and long-term vision.

The Director of Fundraising will work closely with the Executive Director and organizational leadership to develop and execute QFC’s overall fundraising strategy. This includes identifying and cultivating individual donors, foundations, corporate sponsors, institutional funders, and other funding partners; overseeing grant opportunities and applications; developing fundraising campaigns; and building long-term relationships that strengthen QFC’s financial foundation.

Key responsibilities include developing annual and long-term fundraising plans, establishing fundraising goals, managing donor and funder pipelines, identifying grant and sponsorship opportunities, overseeing fundraising campaigns, supporting donor cultivation and stewardship, and tracking fundraising progress and outcomes. The Director will also help establish systems, processes, and best practices that allow QFC’s fundraising efforts to grow sustainably.

The Director of Fundraising will supervise and provide direction to the Fundraising Coordinator(s), delegating research, outreach, administrative, and campaign-support responsibilities as appropriate. They will be responsible for ensuring that fundraising activities are organized, coordinated, and aligned with QFC’s broader organizational priorities.

We are looking for someone who is strategic, organized, proactive, and passionate about nonprofit development and community impact. Previous experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, grant writing, major gifts, sponsorships, donor relations, or a related field is helpful, but it is not required. We are equally interested in someone who may be newer to fundraising but is dedicated, eager to learn, and excited to help build QFC’s fundraising strategy and infrastructure from the ground up. Whether you bring years of development experience or a strong willingness to learn and contribute, what matters most is your commitment to the mission, your ability to follow through, and your enthusiasm for helping QFC build a sustainable future.
