Western Specialty Contractors is currently looking for self-motivated, top notch individuals to help serve our customers as a Concrete Laborer Foreman at our Cleveland, OH location. If you are a self-motivated individual with great work ethic and the personality to help with customer satisfaction, then we would love to meet you! As a member of the branch production team, you will be responsible for the performance of work within a particular work area and in accordance with generally accepted standards of the crafts. Oversee small/medium sized crews during various projects related to concrete restoration. Supervises 3-5 man crew. Directs crews in the preparation, waterproofing, placement, finishing and demolition of concrete. Actively participate in the physical tasks related to projects. Supervises workers assigned to area of responsibility to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications and meets quality standards Acts as the competent person on the job by identifying existing and predicable hazards which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees and halting any operation or removes employees from environments that may be dangerous Load, transport, unload, and furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary Rigging of mobile and stationery scaffolding on structures in accordance with corporate guidelines May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces during installation May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of journeyman's tools and equipment Perform other routine duties as directed by craft worker Supervises & coordinates the activities of assigned workers, establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules, and communicates progress to superintendent Ensures that workers know and understand the company's safety policies Maintains liaison with customer's representative and advises superintendent and/or project manager of potential problems. Requirements Workers should be able to: Follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; evaluate information using measurable standards. Physically, workers must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods; lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; and see (naturally or with correction) Abilities to work at heights, at extreme temperatures, and to wear company's safety equipment are essential. Experience in a trade or craft is required, preferably masonry and bricklaying. Benefits Western offers a competitive wage. Must work at a minimum of 30 hours per week to be eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment. Compensation for this role is determined using a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, market benchmarks, and the cost of labor in the different geographic locations where we operate.
