Donor Relations Manager

Position SummaryUnder the general guidance of the Advancement Director, the Donor Relations Manager is responsible fordeveloping and implementing the annual fundraising plan, developing strategies to increase donorengagement and overall giving, managing a portfolio of mid-level and major donors, and meeting ambitiousfinancial goals through development, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The Donor RelationsManager also partners with the Development Manager on the planning and execution of fundraising events.The position works collaboratively with the Development Manager, serves on the agency’s leadership team,and manages fundraising campaigns and donor relationsPosition Duties & Responsibilities• Serve as member of the Advancement Leadership Team and help ensure the organization has the resourcesto achieve goals set forth in the ACCESS strategic plan and to advance our mission.• In coordination with Advancement Director and Development Manager, set and achieve annual andlong-range fundraising goals, measuring progress throughout the year to ensure success.• Develop and implement the Annual Development Plan in consultation with the Advancement Directorand Development Manager.• Evaluate existing fundraising strategies, compile comprehensive data reports, analyze ROI,recommend improvements and implement new/improved strategies.• Develop or enhance development programs, such as the monthly sustainer and planned giving programs.• Develop and implement strategies to increase donor engagement and re-engage lapsed donors as well asacquire new donors and broaden ACCESS’ donor demographic.• Build and manage a personal portfolio of mid-level and major donors by leading in cultivation,solicitation, and exceptional stewardship.• Partner with the Development Manager to develop, plan, implement, and evaluate ACCESS’ four annualfundraising events.• Serve on event committees to plan and execute successful annual fundraising events, and ensuresfundraising goals are met through corporate sponsorship, procurement, and individual and corporatedonations.• In collaboration with the Mar/Comms Team, oversee the creation of collateral materials forfundraising campaigns, including print and electronic appeals and social media content.• Work with department and agency senior leadership to identify funding needs related to organizationalstrategic goals and program and operations budgets.• Work collaboratively with Finance Department to provide timely notice of impending gifts, oversee andensure gifts are accurately coded, and evaluate and improve development financial procedures and writtenprocedures.• Conduct and record outcome of measurable number of face-to-face visits with donor prospects to solicitmajor and planned gifts and ensure all development activities are accurately recorded.• Solicit a measurable number of mid-level and major gifts annually while growing a pipeline of newopportunities to support future major gift solicitations.Job AnnouncementDonor Relations Manager• Represent ACCESS to the general public, including but not limited to public speaking, committees, andoutreach to various partners and constituencies as appropriate.Experience• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of development experience; or equivalent years of experience may besubstituted for the educational requirement.• Minimum of three years of successful development experience in major or planned giving fundraising,event planning and donor cultivation.• Proven experience working on a fundraising team that successfully raised more than $1 million in revenueannually.• Proven ability to identify major gift prospects and secure major gifts ($10,000+ level).• 2-3 years of leadership and/or supervisory experience.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in theseareas.• Excellent computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency.• This position is required to have a work issued cell phone (in lieu of a cell phone other similar optionsare available per the agency Cell Phone Election Form).• Valid Oregon driver’s license with record that is acceptable under ACCESS’ insurance policies #J-18808-Ljbffr ACCESS
