Your Role: As a Groundskeeper at Independence in Dixon, you'll play a key role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and much more for our community. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent service will help create a welcoming environment for residents and guests alike. Key Responsibilities:Maintain community grounds including walkways, parking lots, and common areasPerform custodial duties such as sweeping, blowing, pressure washing, and trash removalClean outdoor furniture, fixtures, and assigned maintenance areasReport any safety concerns or maintenance needs to the appropriate team membersProvide courteous, helpful customer service to residents and guestsSupport the maintenance team with additional tasks as neededWhat We're Looking For:Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivatedPrevious groundskeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not requiredAbility to work outdoors and perform physical labor in all weather conditionsMust be available to work weekends (days off: Thursday and Friday)Valid driver's license preferredMust pass a background check and drug screeningOpportunities for Growth:Access to free maintenance training classesClear path to roles such as Maintenance Technician or Night Service ManagerMany of our Maintenance team members started as Groundskeepers!Annual merit-based raises and bonus opportunitiesCompensation & Benefits:Pay: $22.00/hourMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance (multiple plan options)401(k) Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off, Holidays, and Sick LeaveApartment Rental DiscountsProfessional Development & Career Advancement OpportunitiesWhy Join Lewis?
