Job Highlights

●      Title: Contract Psychiatrist (Inpatient Forensic / Correctional)
●      Location: Adult men’s state correctional facility – Chowchilla, CA
●      Contract Type: 6–12 month relief contract (ASAP start)
●      Schedule: In-person, Full-Time Mon-Fri, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. (4x8s) or (4 x10s) at least 6 months. Alternate 2x10 Mon-Tues Schedule a possibility.
●      Earning Potential: $300-655k/year depending on part time or full time status
●      Setting: Adult men’s outpatient-level psychiatric care in a forensic / correctional environment
●      Visa: No visa sponsorship

Top qualifications:

●      MD or DO required ; Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry .
●      Active California medical license and active California DEA .
●     At least 12 months of adult psychiatry experience in the last 3 years (inpatient or high-acuity preferred).
●      BLS certification and medical malpractice insurance required.
●     Experience in correctional / forensic psychiatry and comfort with high-acuity, justice-involved patients.
●     Familiarity with Cerner EHR .
