Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) responsible for delivering exceptional patient care through accurate specimen collection, phlebotomy, and laboratory support services. Serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a professional, compassionate, and confidential healthcare experience. Performs blood draws, specimen processing, and documentation while following established clinical procedures, safety standards, and compliance guidelines.

Key responsibilities include collecting high-quality blood specimens from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients; preparing and processing specimens for laboratory testing; maintaining accurate patient records; and ensuring timely completion of daily tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Demonstrates strong attention to detail, patient communication skills, and commitment to accuracy, safety, and confidentiality.

Works independently under the supervision of the area supervisor while maintaining professionalism and process excellence. Supports both clinical and forensic specimen collection procedures and promotes a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and staff.

Education & Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Customer service or healthcare service environment experience preferred
• Data entry experience required
