Quality Control Technician

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our Harleyville, SC plant. As a Quality Control Technician with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be responsible for providing sampling and standardized testing to ensure raw materials and manufactured products meet quality standards, while documenting and communicating these results accurately. The position will provide general support to the quality department and may work with other departments as assigned.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to work effectively following all plant safety policies and safe work practices.
• Demonstrated ability, in current job, to deliver quality work in a timely fashion with minimal rework.
• Must be able to perform a repetitive task exactly and accurately under a strict timeline.
• Must be able to document test results exactly and accurately.
• Must be able to identify known patterns hidden in extraneous data as well as be able to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
• Must be able to interpret and follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with other employees. This includes the ability to communicate information verbally and in writing so others will understand.
• Must be able and willing to work a rotating 12-hour schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, and callouts.
• Must be self-starter with sound judgment and a positive attitude

About You

We Require:

• Highschool diploma or GED
• Higher education in related fields, such as chemistry and mathematics preferred
• Basic knowledge of chemistry and mathematics required. (May be subject to Quality Testing
• Must be able and willing to work a rotating 12-hour schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, and callouts.
