Paramedic

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation. We have multiple station locations throughout Texas and are looking to grow our team of Paramedics in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. We need experienced, dedicated, and motivated team members who can provide the advanced level of patient care our patients and partners expect. Schedule Types Available 48 ON / 96 OFF 24 ON / 48 OFF Kelly schedule Schedules vary by location and are subject to change. Duties and Responsibilities Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports. Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol. Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients. Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others. Transport patients safely in an ambulance. Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities. Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare facility staff. Document medical care given to patients promptly and effectively. Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use. Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily. Qualifications Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level. Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations. Effective verbal and written communication in English. Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations and job duties. Experience with MICU level transports including IV pump, ventilator, and cardiac monitoring. State of Texas (or other compact state) Paramedic license REQUIRED. Two years of experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred. Expected Pay Per Year $77,096/yr up to $93,856/yr (depending on experience) working a full-time rotating schedule. Paramedics can make between $105,248-$128,128/year (depending on experience) by working 72 hours/week. No cap on overtime. Benefits Paid Time Off / PTO. Medical insurance coverage.
