Registered Nurse - Observation

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient needs regularly and deliver skilled nursing services based on physician-approved care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and respond to call lights and alarms while assisting with patient transfers.
  
  
• 
  Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with the healthcare team to update or revise care strategies.
  
  
• 
  Process physician orders accurately and promptly, ensuring all care is performed in accordance with established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor medication adjustments and clarify orders as necessary to maintain optimal patient care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess two or more years of recent observation nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Hold an active Michigan state license and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  Be able to provide current skills documentation pertinent to ambulatory care within the past year.
  
  
• 
  Submit two supervisory reference forms completed in the last two years.
