Operating Engineer

Operating Engineer On‑site position in Slidell, LA. Estimated hourly compensation: $19.25 – $24.00. Schedule: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Operate and support mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems. Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and remedial work including painting, pressure washing, lighting replacement, plumbing, HVAC system maintenance, water treatment, locksmith tasks, and general maintenance (as permitted by licensing). Maintain the CMMS work order system daily and address tenant service requests. Respond to on‑call or emergency situations when required. Troubleshoot building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls. Comply with all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs. Qualifications 3+ years of related experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry. Trade school, union, military, or college education desirable. Universal CFC EPA certification or willingness to obtain within the first year (with JLL assistance). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams). Ability to lift up to 50lbs, use ladders up to 30ft, and frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive. Strong customer service skills. Benefits 401(k) plan with company match.
