Job Summary:
Post Partum Floor Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care for postpartum and low-risk ante-partum patients, supporting mother-baby units, and assisting with neonatal care. The role requires independent assessment and patient education, emphasizing breastfeeding support and newborn care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); experience in maternal-newborn care with at least 2 years of total experience and 1 year specifically in Mother-Baby/Postpartum units
• Preferred Qualifications: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) experience and newborn lab skills such as phlebotomy and IV placement; experience with PKU testing and neonatal assessments; ability to independently care for 3-4 couplets, provide discharge teaching, vaccinate neonates, and perform postpartum fundal checks
• Floating: LD (Labor and Delivery) and NICU; unit is a closed pod to birth center, voluntary float to medical-surgical units
• Weekend Rotation: Yes, every other or every third weekend
• On Call: No, on-call is voluntary
• Scrub Color: Any color scrubs; hospital scrubs for NICU
• Start Date: 09/08/2026
