Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, United States About this position The Patient Service Navigator works in conjunction with providers and clinic staff to attend to the clinic and patients' referral and administrative needs. Responsibilities Manage and schedule referral appointments for patients at the time of visit for specialists, therapy, and diagnostic testing. Provide follow‑up (f/u) to patients for referral appointments. Process phone calls, mail, emails, and fax requests from patients, providers, other departments/clinics, and external organizations. Conduct appropriate follow‑up with patients via phone or mail. Communicate applicable messages to clinic staff. Register and schedule patients for appointments, maximizing the provider's schedule. Verify insurance coverage and obtain appropriate insurance referrals and authorizations. Enter and update patient data into system programs accurately. Collect, process, and record payments. Provide accurate and complete information to the billing office. Qualifications High School or Equivalent (GED). Minimum 1 year of related experience. Possess a pleasant and professional attitude and appearance. Demonstrate exceptional customer service behavior. Display excellent face‑to‑face, telephone, and written communication skills. Have comprehensive keyboard skills and computer knowledge. Demonstrate proficiency in multi‑tasking, time management, organization, attention to detail, quality, independent problem solving, and critical thinking.
