Lead Software Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to help drive the modernization of our Enterprise Entitlements platform. This role will provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions that support identity, access, and authorization capabilities across Digital Banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern UI frameworks.
• Lead implementation of cloud-native solutions leveraging Kubernetes, containers, and microservices architecture.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing and deployment.
• Define and implement API and integration strategies across enterprise platforms.
• Partner with architects and security teams to implement authorization and policy-driven access controls.
• Contribute to service mesh architectures utilizing technologies such as Istio and Envoy.
• Author and maintain policy definitions using Rego/OPA (preferred).
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence, resiliency, and operational best practices.

Education and Experience Required

• Associate’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ systems analysis and/or application development work experience
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years' systems analysis and/or application development work experience
• In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 year’s education and/or relevant work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ system analysis and/or application development work experience
• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Angular and/or modern front-end development experience
• Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native development experience
• CI/CD pipeline implementation experience
• Strong understanding of security, authentication, and authorization concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Rego/Open Policy Agent (OPA) experience
• Digital Banking or Financial Services experience
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy)
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) background

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $116,400.00 - $194,000.00 Annual (USD).
