Lead Field Technician

Position Overview: The Team Leader directs and coordinates the activity of a group of field service employees to accomplish assigned tasks. The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the field services management in achieving the overall goals and objectives of the organization. This includes but is not limited to Safety, Quality, Productivity, Efficiency, On-time completion and employee morale.Essential Job Functions:As a working member of the team, leads a group of field service employees in accomplishing assigned tasks to meet production needs. Approximately 50% of time will be dedicated to direct production and 50% of time dedicated to problem solving, training and other team management activities.Ensures safe, efficient, cost effective and environmentally appropriate operation of their area of responsibilityContinually improves the safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety awareness. Improve and maintain housekeeping in all areasDemonstrates strong leadership behaviors conducive to building team cohesiveness while setting an example to others. Administers company policies in a fair and consistent mannerConducts safety talks with employee groups and assists with incident & near miss safety investigations as requiredMonitors, updates, takes action to attain, and reports progress against team goals. Assists plant management in accomplishing all plant goals and objectivesAssist Supervisor in evaluation of employee performance and provides feedback to plant management for employee evaluations and disciplineMaintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirementOther related duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent3 years of experience and knowledge of industry specific equipment or processesLeadership experienceValid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordSuccessfully pass and obtain DOT certificationSuccessfully pass and obtain DISA certificationProficient skills with the latest versions of MS Office: Word, Excel and OutlookMust be able to recognize and treat information with required appropriate confidentialityMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.Preferred Qualifications:Manufacturing experience in a leadership capacityKnowledgeable in manufacturing safetyPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
