Parts Manager

Merit Chevrolet Co. is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to join our team in St Paul, MN. In this role, you will oversee the parts department to ensure efficient operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and provide excellent customer service to support our dealership's success. Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control and parts ordering. Lead and supervise parts staff, providing training and guidance to enhance performance. Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers. Ensure timely and accurate parts availability to support service and sales departments. Analyze sales and inventory data to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory. Prepare and manage department budgets and financial reports. Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and adhere to the absenteeism, reporting and tardiness policy. Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them. Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all parts department staff. Meet and assist the customer in a courteous and professional manner providing them with the information they need. Supervises stock order procedures. Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location. Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the defined areas. Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date. Enforce safety requirements. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors. Requirements Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar automotive parts role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management systems. Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions. High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are a plus. Two or more years of related experience in an automotive parts management position preferred. Two or more years of sales experience or managing a GM parts department. Excellent customer service skills. Professional appearance and work ethic. Ability to work well in a process driven environment. Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record. Benefits Competitive salary range of $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year, paid semi-monthly.
