AI Solution Architect
Overview

Our client is a growing boutique technology consulting firm specializing in cutting-edge enterprise applications. They are seeking an AI Solution Architect to design and build AI-enabled enterprise solutions on AWS-ranging from RAG architectures and conversational tools to advanced analytics interfaces powered by Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker-while serving as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients.
Core Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture: Architect and build scalable, AI-enabled enterprise solutions on AWS using Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and the AWS SDK.
• AI & LLM Integration: Design and implement RAG applications, chatbot workflows, and analytics interfaces using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, and Comprehend.
• Containerized Microservices: Establish design standards and deployment best practices for containerized AI microservices on EKS, ECS, or Lambda.
• Technical Leadership: Lead code reviews, architecture assessments, and end-to-end performance tuning of AI pipelines and core application logic.
• Data & Security Infrastructure: Enable secure data access to RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, and S3 utilizing AWS IAM and enterprise security controls.
• DevOps Integration: Partner with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines and implement continuous monitoring via CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CloudWatch.
• Client Advisory & Strategy: Translate executive AI strategies into concrete technical roadmaps and AWS implementation plans for enterprise clients.
• Framework Development: Contribute to reusable solution frameworks and internal accelerators combining AWS and modern AI technologies.

Key Qualifications

• Enterprise Architecture: Hands-on experience architecting and deploying scalable enterprise software on AWS.
• AI & Vector Systems: Practical experience integrating LLMs, vector databases, and inference APIs into production applications.
• Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience deploying container-based services using Amazon EKS or ECS.
• CI/CD & Automation: Proficiency with CI/CD delivery pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge technical details and business strategy for executive stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Experience

• AWS Certifications, particularly Machine Learning Specialty and Solutions Architect.
• Hands-on RAG and vector search experience utilizing Amazon Bedrock or OpenSearch.
• Development experience within the .NET ecosystem (C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework).
• Real-time data streaming architectures using Amazon Kinesis or Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK).
• Practical application of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and cost optimization.
• Prior consulting background delivering solutions for enterprise clients.

Must-Haves (non-negotiable)

• AWS: Candidates must have hands-on experience architecting and building enterprise applications on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and the AWS SDK.
• Practical experience integrating AI into enterprise applications on AWS: LLMs, vector databases, inference APIs, ideally Amazon Bedrock and/or SageMaker
• Experience deploying container-based services on Amazon EKS or ECS
• CI/CD experience (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Work authorization: US citizens and green card holders only. No visa sponsorship available.

Strong Pluses

• AWS certifications, especially Machine Learning Specialty and Solutions Architect (the client places strong weight on these)
