Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing EngineerWe are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's fast-paced, high-energy team in Westford, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in developing efficient manufacturing processes, supporting production operations, and helping deliver high-quality precision-machined products to our customers.Responsibilities:Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and documented production processesCreate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructionsReview customer drawings, specifications, and requirements to determine the most efficient manufacturing methodsSupport CNC machining operations including mills, lathes, EDM, grinding, welding, and secondary processesCollaborate with production teams to optimize setup times, cycle times, and overall efficiencyApply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiativesPrepare cost estimates and support customer RFQ activitiesProvide CAD support and assist with manufacturability reviewsCoordinate with suppliers, issue RFQs, and manage outsourced production requirementsSupport engineering change activities and process documentation updatesAssist with quality initiatives, root cause investigations, and corrective actionsSupport ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems and process controlsDesired Background/Skills:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)3-5+ years of manufacturing engineering experienceExperience in a precision machining, contract manufacturing, machine shop, or job shop environmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirementsStrong understanding of machining processes, fixturing, tooling, tolerance stack-ups, and process engineering conceptsProficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similarExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively across engineering, production, quality, suppliers, and customersPreferred: Experience with SolidWorksPreferred: Experience with JobBOSS ERP softwareLean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certificationKnowledge of metalworking, finishing, and plating processesExperience supporting ISO-regulated manufacturing environmentsDon't miss out on this excellent opportunity to join a hardworking, supportive team- apply with us today to get started!
