Pharmacist Inpatient

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist Inpatient to join our pharmacy team. This role involves providing high-quality pharmaceutical care and support for patients in various departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient pharmacy operations and demonstrate expertise in medication management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care services in the ICU, IMC, ED, Med-Surg, OR (cardiothoracic), cardiac cath, and central pharmacy.
• Oversee medication management including dosing and monitoring of Vancomycin using AUC, Aminoglycosides, Heparin, and TPN.
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 standards and assist in verifying the correct preparation of IV medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication therapy management.
• Participate in departmental orientation and training programs for pharmacy staff.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Must possess a current BLS certification and Wisconsin pharmacy license. Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in inpatient pharmacy practice.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and practices, including medication dispensing and monitoring.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability to work nights, specifically from 9 PM to 7 AM. The pharmacist will work a total of 7 shifts during a 14-day pay period, including weekend shifts every 3rd or 4th week and holiday coverage as assigned.

Dress Code

Employees are required to wear clean and professional scrubs or business casual attire while on duty.
