We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to join the team!
The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for patients in person and by phone
- Greeting patients, assisting with concerns, and escalating issues when appropriate
- Checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, providing receipts, and reconciling payments
- Verifying patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
- Scheduling appointments and completing patient registration
- Processing and tracking referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
- Handling patient and provider correspondence
- Explaining policies, procedures, or services to patients
- Sanitizing workspaces in accordance with department guidelines
The Qualifications for a Patient Service Representative:
- Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
- 1 year of recent experience working in a call center
- Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions
- 2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Service Representative preferred
- Experience using CS-Link/Epic preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
