About the Position

Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45-15:15 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year of recent experience in the specialty License: Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temporary Licenses accepted) Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS or Red Cross equivalent Must-Have: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Must be able to circulate. Holiday work as required. Every other weekend availability is necessary. Description: Plans, coordinates, and directs quality, compassionate care by maintaining standards of professional nursing practice. Creates positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Provides leadership to team members by articulating and delegating expected standards of care. Supervises and encourages team members, supporting their contributions. Supervises LPNs, PCAs, and other non-licensed staff. Education requirement: Associate degree in nursing. Required experience includes 2 years; however, 18 months will be considered if it is under the highest level of professional license. 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty is necessary. Solid navy scrub colors are required as part of the dress code. Must be willing to float to different units and hospitals.
