Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician

Medical Lab Scientist or MLT, Night Shift Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates. Position Purpose The Medical Technologist performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing. They have knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitor and understand instrumentation operation, and report results accurately and rapidly. Shift: Night Shift – three 12‑hour shifts and one 8‑hour shift every other week. The position includes every other weekend. What You’ll Do Performs all clinical testing in the assigned department. Records and reports test results accurately and promptly. Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines. Maintains a high level of quality assurance. Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment. Recognizes problems using prescribed strategies and makes necessary corrections. Consults with supervisor/manager when criteria for decisions are not present; if no supervisor available, acts to determine the final decision. Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures, and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager. Performs routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment. What We’re Looking For Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related field or Associates Degree in MLT. Licensure/Certification: Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent, or eligible for certification. Maintaining active certification, if applicable. Experience: Preferred, but not required. Effective communication skills.
