Senior Full Stack Engineer (AWS & DevSecOps)Location: Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid - 4 days onsite per week)Pay Rate: $70-$74/hrAt this time, Apex is not able to consider candidates for this role who require visa sponsorship now or in the future.OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, cloud-based applications. This role requires strong expertise across front-end and back-end development, AWS cloud technologies, DevSecOps practices, and modern application architecture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can independently drive feature development from concept through deployment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver end-to-end software solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.Own the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and support.Build and maintain modern web applications using Angular, React, and TypeScript.Develop and support scalable backend services using Java and Node.js.Design and implement microservices-based architectures and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and delivery.Identify and resolve performance, scalability, security, and reliability issues.Leverage AWS cloud services and serverless technologies to build efficient, resilient solutions.Apply DevSecOps best practices throughout the development lifecycle.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years as a Full Stack Engineer.Strong experience building and maintaining web applications using modern frameworks and technologies including Angular, React, and TypeScript.Proficiency in server-side development using Java and Node.js.Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and serverless computing.Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful/GraphQL API design.Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD tools.Experience using Azure DevOps or similar work management platforms.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly adapt to new technologies.Preferred QualificationsExperience with GenAI technologies, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and MCP (Model Context Protocol) patterns.AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer.Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft.Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection best practices.
