PSE's IT Application Solutions team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Senior SAP Application Configuration Analyst position!

Job Description

The SAP Customer Information Systems team is an experienced and collaborative group that works to deliver projects and support PSE’s business and an extensive SAP footprint. Join our dynamic team and you will be able to contribute and grow as an IT professional as you deliver solutions to in support of PSE’s goal to meets our aggressive clean energy goals for the future.

This position works comprehensively across all phases of systems analysis while evaluating the strategic business implications of technology applications within the current operational environment. Facilitates collaborative processes to gather and establish detailed business requirements, and may participate in critical hardware/software selection and vendor evaluation processes. Participates actively in project initiation phases by defining high-level requirements and contributing to the development of business strategies, objectives, and key organizational drivers.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnoses complex problems, develops and implements solutions in an SAP environment (from list below).
• Effectively understands relevant business processes so that they can be modeled in internal systems.
• Develops and maintains scope and objectives for internal systems requirements as defined by the organization inclusive of mySAP R/3, 4.6, ECC 5.0/6.0, or S/4 modules and affected applications, to allow for programming business rules into said systems.
• Maintains extensive knowledge of their assigned functional area in SAP environment (from list below), active business processes, business areas, as well as industry.
• Assists in tailoring the development process to meet the project needs and assists SAP project manager in scheduling budget tasks and defines high-level requirements.
• Serves as a resource to ABAP programmers, developers, and BASIS Administrators in designing, configuring and implementing an SAP system, which supports the company’s business and operational needs. Provides leadership and guidance to subordinates.
• Configures complex application components (analysis, design, development and implementation of solutions) based on functional requirements without supervision in the SAP environment (from list below).
• Deep understanding of project and software development ASAP or Agile methodologies and process and may assist in aligning the process with project needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years IT experience, including several years of systems development experience in the design and development of department-wide or enterprise-wide applications.
• Detailed understanding and experience: 5+ years hands-on systems experience in one or more (specialized technical requirements as shown in technical addendum) modules appropriate for the job (or other related functional area experience).
• Possesses full technical knowledge of phases of software development life cycle.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of systems and/or business analysis design concepts. Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools. Full system life cycle experience, including development lifecycle methodologies.
• Ability to facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills
• Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills for smaller projects.
• Must be a “team player” able to work with management in developing and implementing new processes and enabling systems. Able to work with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions.
• Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and a customer-focused service attitude.
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to meet objectives and effectively multi-task.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.

Desired Qualifications

• IS-U Billing Functional Experience of the following but not limited to:
• Extensive SAP IS-Utilities CR&B Experience
• Full lifecycle implementation experience within IS-U (Electric and Gas).
• Experience in setup of Rate Structure, Billing Schema, Price management including all Billing Master Data/Tariff Structure and Bill Print
• Expertise in Billing, building Rates, DM, EDM, Rates for TOU.
• Worked on the billing process for Commercial, Residential, Unmetered customers and BPEM/Emma case management.
• Experienced with working on rate changes for different schedules as well as for the design of new tariffs.
• Should have experience with implementation of new products like renewables, DER components etc.
• Experience with Net Meter scenarios and Aggregate billing scenarios, Budget Billing.
• Experience in analyzing issues in Billing & Invoicing processes
• Good knowledge related to Integration with Device Management & FICA
• Experience supporting different project phases:
• Requirement gathering and Business process design
• SAP configuration and writing RICEFW Functional Specifications
• System Integration Testing and supporting User Acceptance Testing
• Deployment and Post Deployment Support
• Should have good knowledge and awareness of IS-U processes, data model and should be able to support/work with other SME’s with Impacts of Billing changes in Front Office, Device Management, FICA, BW and other functional areas.

The pay range for this position is $103,100.00 - $181,300.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
