Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As a Sr Cloud Infrastructure Engineer on the Infrastructure Platform Team, you will be working on the next generation of infrastructure that will support Genesys’s vision of our Multicloud solutions through an infrastructure-as-code approach to managing technology infrastructure. Reporting to the Sr Manager of Infrastructure Platform Engineering, you will continue the build out of our cloud infrastructure. You will optimize, monitor, and scale platform infrastructure. You will configure and deploy new workloads in the cloud with a Kubernetes first mindset. You’ll use Terraform, Kubernetes, and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools together with a DevOps mindset to establish automated pipelines, immutable infrastructure, and repeatable deployments of a containerized cloud ecosystem. This role can be filled by a fully remote employee.Responsibilities include: Designing, building, configuring, documenting, and deploying infrastructure and systems.Developing, managing, and testing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, Git, and other toolsHave an in depth understanding of Kubernetes and container-based applications, building Kubernetes from scratch and maintaining the environmentSupporting, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting infrastructure with a focus on automated solutions Solving complex business and technical problems in collaboration with colleagues from the technology teams as well as functional stakeholdersDesigning and implementing automated delivery pipelines to ensure timely delivery of applications, systems, infrastructure, and related updates Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships within the team and throughout Genesys Participating in the rotation for on-call duties with other team membersRequirements Include:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required, preferably in computer science or technology management, or relevant combination of education and experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role, supporting IT infrastructure in a complex environment Minimum of 2 years working in cloud environment, AWS, GCP, or AzureStrong understanding of virtual servers, cloud-native applications, networks, firewalls, load balancers, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent understanding of and experience with IT security and data protection Experience using Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions and advanced training preferredExperience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps Experience developing software delivery, DevOps, and agile practices/methodologies using a Kubernetes first mind focusSoftware development skill with at least one of the following: Java Script, Python (Preferred)Strong technical skills and experience in cloud technologiesBenefits Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceTelehealth coverageFlexible work schedules and work from home opportunitiesDevelopment and career growth opportunitiesOpen Time Off401(k) matching programAdoption Assistance Infertility treatmentsSee more Genesys benefits information at
