About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Construction to join its mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, responsible for leading all construction and economic development operations in support of the company's mission. The VP of Construction will be tasked with providing both strategic and operational leadership across various areas, such as homebuilding, homeowner development, neighborhood revitalization, and land acquisition. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective homes while maintaining a focus on safety, volunteer engagement, and community impact is a key responsibility. Applicants for the Vice President of Construction position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in construction, operations, or development. A current General Contractor license or the ability to obtain one is required. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in managing budgets, contracts, and complex projects, as well as strong knowledge of residential construction, land development, and project management. Experience in nonprofit, community development, or volunteer-driven environments, and knowledge of government funding and affordable housing programs, are also preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept at people leadership, team development, and financial management, and will be expected to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while driving operational efficiency and performance.
