Your responsibilities will include:Accurately documenting and summarizing ophthalmic examinations in real time, including chief complaints, assessments, and treatment recommendationsSupporting patient understanding by reinforcing provider instructions and sharing educational materials when neededPerforming patient workups and specialized ophthalmic testingAdministering ophthalmic medications and assisting with eye care instructionsPreparing patients for in-office procedures and assisting with lasers and treatmentsTaking and documenting comprehensive medical historiesSterilizing and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and equipmentAssisting patients with contact lens insertion and removalMaintaining clear communication regarding appointment status and patient flowWhat We're Looking ForStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational skillsAbility to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical settingProfessional demeanor with outstanding interpersonal and communication skillsCommitment to patient confidentiality and compassionate careWillingness to support teammates and help across all clinic areasBasic knowledge of medical coding terminologyProficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite toolsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic AssistantCOA or COT certification preferredCommitment to maintaining required education, certification, and trainingCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay: $20 – $25 per hourMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceRobust ancillary benefits401(k) plan with employer contributionCompany-paid life insuranceGenerous PTO and paid holidaysMountain View Eye Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and proudly supports a diverse workforce.
