Job Description

The food runner brings food from the kitchen to customers quickly and accurately, ensuring the correct orders reach the right tables. They bridge the kitchen and waitstaff, supporting service during busy times by delivering dishes, clearing plates, and assisting with table setups.

$15.16 - $16 hourly

• Delivering Food: Carrying food from the kitchen to tables promptly to ensure optimal food temperature and quality.
• Ensuring Accuracy: Checking order tickets to ensure the food delivered matches what the customer ordered.
• Customer Service: Answering customer questions, providing additional items (utensils, napkins), and responding to requests or complaints.
• Table Maintenance: Clearing (bussing) empty dishes and glasses, and sanitizing tables for new guests.
• Supporting Staff: Assisting servers and chefs by restocking stations, cleaning trays, and helping with table setups.
• Communication: Acting as a liaison between the front-of-house staff and back-of-house kitchen staff.

• High School Diploma: Preferred.
• Communication Skills: Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff.
• Fast-Paced Capability: Proven ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-volume environments.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
• Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations.
