Job Title: Fabrication Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on supporting production and fabrication activities in a small shop environment by operating industrial equipment, assembling components, and preparing products for shipment. The fabrication technician works hands-on with tools and machinery, handles materials safely, and contributes to the efficient completion of fabrication and assembly projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lift truck (large forklift) to move materials, products, and equipment safely around the shop and yard.

• Operate hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric equipment and tooling to support fabrication and assembly tasks.

• Lift and handle materials weighing 50-75 lbs on a regular basis while following safe lifting practices.

• Package industrial products in boxes and on pallets, ensuring items are secured, labeled, and prepared for shipment or storage.

• Use a variety of hand tools to cut, assemble, adjust, and finish components according to specifications.

• Install mechanical fasteners to assemble parts and secure components in place.

• Support production, fabrication, and assembly work as needed, including tasks related to conveyor belts and other industrial products.

• Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure components meet required dimensions.

• Perform general shop duties as assigned, helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate tasks, report issues, and ensure projects stay on schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stockton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
