Registered Nurse (RN), Clinic‑Outpatient Surgery Center Job Type: Full‑Time | Days Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 available for qualified applicants Responsibilities Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient conditions. Establishes a plan of care tailored to identified problems and involves the patient in decision‑making. Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during shifts. Assists in staffing decisions based on staff availability, abilities, census, and patient acuity. Provides direct patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Levels appropriate patient assignments to meet staffing needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any barriers to desired outcomes. Responds to patient care complaints and manages them through established channels. Performs role‑specific duties such as entering orders, and coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers. Ensures staff have necessary equipment and supplies for safe, quality care. Documents patient care and communicates condition updates to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support. Educates patients and families as appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and to perform effectively in a stressful environment. Certifications: BCLS. License: Current RN license in Tennessee.
