Part-Time Hospital Housekeeper – All Shifts Requisition Number: PARTT006768 Posted: May 21, 2026 Part-Time On-site Rate: $14.74 USD per hour Locations Baptist DeSoto 7601 Southcrest Pkwy Southaven, MS 38671, USA Job Overview This environmental service housekeeper position cleans and maintains facilities on a healthcare campus and may work in any location on client premises. Daily Responsibilities Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. Sweeps and/or vacuums floor. Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebasket and transports trash and waste to the disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Job Qualifications Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus. Medical cleaning experience is a plus. Post‑Offer medical, background screening, and drug test required. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Physical Demands The employee must stand, walk, use hands and arms to gesture, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs, frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and work for long periods in a standing position. The work environment may expose the employee to fumes, chemicals, and occasional moving mechanical parts.
