Project Manager, Finance

Job area: Project Management Job Title: Finance Project Manager The Finance Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing finance-related projects that support the organization’s financial strategy and operational goals. This role partners closely with finance leadership, accounting teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with financial compliance and reporting standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage finance-related projects such as system implementations, process improvements, financial reporting initiatives, and regulatory compliance projects. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with finance leadership and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress to ensure milestones and deadlines are met. Coordinate cross-functional teams including finance, accounting, IT, and operations. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion. Track project budgets and ensure efficient use of financial and organizational resources. Prepare project status reports and present updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. Ensure projects comply with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial transparency. Support change management efforts related to finance system implementations or process changes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within finance, accounting, or financial systems environments. Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in financial systems and project management tools. Fluent in English, verbal and written. Preferred Qualifications Project management certification such as PMP. Work experience utilizing SAP for daily responsibilities. Prior use of operational systems such as EPM, VFT, Truckmate. CPA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Project planning and execution. Stakeholder communication. Process improvement. Change management. Benefits For this position, the expected base pay is: $92,000- $122,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
