Assembly Technician 2nd Shift

Wire Harness Assembly TechnicianAssist in the assembly of wire harnesses by operating various production equipment and tools which terminate wires and cables.Pay: $15/hr + $1 shift differentialSchedule: M-F 2:00 PM - 10:30 PMEssential Duties:Apply terminals using termination equipment in accordance with production documentation and standardsApply terminals manually with appropriate tools in accordance with production standards and documentationExamine work to ensure it is done in accordance with production standardsPrepare wires and cables for production in accordance with production documentation and standardsControl equipment and materials in an appropriate mannerDetect and report equipment malfunctions promptly to managementComplete production documentation in accordance with production standardsNotify management of material defectsUse tools and equipment properly to minimize downtime and tool breakageManage own work load for maximum efficiencyAdheres to all ISO requirements related to the work areaPerform other duties reasonably related to the position as assignedEducation And Experience:High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:Read and understand sentences and paragraphs in work related documents written in EnglishSpeak and write effectively to convey information to othersAttention to detailAble to grasp new concepts and skills easilyAble to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles to solve problemsAble to manage one's own work load for maximum efficiency while maintaining qualityAble to meet customer and company quality and timeline requirementsKeep job documents/materials properly identified and organizedCooperate with coworkers and managementAdjust quickly to different assigned dutiesUse sound judgment to make good decisions based on information availableWork with minimal supervisionPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions:· 20/20 vision with correction· Must be able to differentiate between red and green colors· Able to lift 25 to 40 pounds for 30 seconds at a time, 3-4 times per day· Able to make coordinated hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objectsThe above is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job.
