The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We invite applications for a full-time specialist in Emergency Medicine at our Largo Medical Center . Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties. MAPMG physicians use a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) to coordinate care. Position Overview This position is a 0.8 FTE role, equivalent to 32 hours per week. It includes non-traditional Emergency Medicine opportunities, advanced urgent care settings, and work in a collaborative mixed-specialty department that includes emergency medicine, family medicine, and hospitalist physicians. The role involves overnights, holidays, and on-call duty, with support for flexible work-life integration. Differential pay is available for physicians working all nights or all weekends. Responsibilities This position is listed as a 0.8 FTE, which is the equivalent of 32 hours per week and is reflected in the salary listed below. Non-traditional Emergency Medicine opportunities. Advanced urgent care or urgent care settings. Collaborative mixed-specialty department, comprised of emergency medicine, family medicine, and hospitalist physicians working together and learning from each other. Provide high-quality, patient-focused care in a dynamic clinical setting, including overnights, holidays, and on-call duty while supported by a team culture that values flexibility, well-being, and sustainable work-life integration. Differential pay for physicians working all nights or all weekends. Direct patient care. Observation units staffed by our hospitalist teams. 8-9-10 hour shifts. No behavioral health observation. Minimum Requirements MD or DO. Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine . Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
