Associate, Asset Manager

MHW Search is proud to partner with a residential real estate investment firm that is continuing to build out its asset management team in Orange County, CA. The firm is currently looking to hire several junior asset management and loan negotiator professionals focused on residential mortgage credit, including non-performing and re-performing loans across 1-4 unit residential assets, as acquisition activity continues nationally. These are not traditional multifamily property or asset management roles. The work sits within residential mortgage servicing, default management, loss mitigation and distressed loan resolution. Responsibilities include: Day-to-day monitoring of residential mortgage loan portfolios Working closely with third-party mortgage servicers Reviewing borrower status, payment history and servicing activity Supporting loss mitigation and loan workout strategies Coordinating foreclosure, bankruptcy and other default-related processes Reviewing loan-level data and identifying issues requiring escalation Working with attorneys, valuation firms and other outside service providers Maintaining portfolio reporting and tracking progress toward resolution Supporting senior asset managers across NPL and RPL portfolios Qualifications: Experience within residential mortgage servicing, asset management, loss mitigation, default servicing or a related area Exposure to 1-4 unit residential mortgage loans Understanding of foreclosure, bankruptcy, workouts or other default-resolution processes Comfort working with loan-level data and servicing reports Strong follow-through and the ability to manage a high volume of individual assets or borrower situations Experience working with mortgage servicers, lenders, investors or distressed residential credit platforms An interest in developing further within residential mortgage asset management Backgrounds from mortgage servicers, special servicers, residential lenders, mortgage investors and distressed credit platforms could all be relevant. #J-18808-Ljbffr MHW Search
