MRI Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a hospital-based MRI department in Hudson, FL. The MRI Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images while maintaining a safe MRI environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in MRI or relevant modality.
• State licensure as required for MRI technologists in Florida.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist, including independent operation of MRI equipment and direct patient care in an MRI setting.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with GE 1.5T systems (GE Signa/Explorer or similar) and familiarity with Meditech or comparable EMR.
• Ability to work independently in the department with radiologist availability for questions.
• Ability to maintain MRI safety for patients and staff, including screening and use of assistive devices (e.g., patient lifts).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience performing neuro, head/neck/spine, abdominal (including MRCP), vascular (MRA), and MSK exams including arthrograms.
• Experience adapting or modifying protocols for patient or physician needs.
• Willingness to learn new protocols and software via onsite and virtual training.
• Prior experience in a trauma center or high-acuity hospital setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1500–0130.
• On-call requirement: 1–2 days on call per month.
• Department equipment: GE Explorer/Signa 1.5T with planned software upgrade to GE 30X with AirDL.
• Small MRI team with cross-coverage; ability to work collaboratively with a 3-person staff unit.
