The OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and analytical Strategic Buyer to support the sourcing of products and services across key telecom and indirect spend categories.In this role, you will participate in all phases of the sourcing lifecycle — from identifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting competitive bid events to supplier selection, contract execution, and purchase order management. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless availability of products and services that support company objectives while helping drive cost efficiency and supplier performance.This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement or sourcing professional who enjoys working cross-functionally, leveraging analytics to influence decisions, and contributing to strategic business outcomes in a fast-paced telecom environment.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $80,000-$90,000/yearMedical, dental, and vision insurance4 01(k) with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidaysTuition reimbursement , f lexible spending and health savings account optionsEmployee discounts on WOW! services in applicable service areasCareer development opportunities and the ability to make a meaningful impact within a growing organizationWhat You’ll DoCore Responsibilities:You will support strategic sourcing initiatives and category management efforts across telecom and indirect spend categories.Responsibilities include:Supporting the execution of enterprise strategic sourcing savings goals and assisting with initiatives designed to achieve year-over-year cost reduction targetsUtilizing data analytics, industry benchmarking, and sourcing methodologies to assist in developing and executing sourcing and category strategies for assigned telecom and indirect spend categoriesServing as a key participant in the end-to-end sourcing process, partnering with:LegalFinanceITBusiness unit stakeholders to support category analysis, supplier selection, and contract executionAssisting in supplier negotiations involving:ContractsPurchase orders to help maximize value and minimize business riskMonitoring supplier performance and assisting in maintaining supplier scorecards to track:QualityDeliveryCost performance metrics on a monthly basisSupporting supplier selection through structured RFx processes and helping implement risk mitigation techniques to ensure continuity of supplyIdentifying and communicating opportunities for improved:PricingContract termsService levels through ongoing supplier relationship managementResearching:Industry trendsEmerging telecom technologiesSupply market conditions to proactively identify risks and sourcing opportunitiesAssisting with short-term and long-range planning through category management and sourcing processes aligned with company strategic business goalsSupporting compliance with enterprise strategic sourcing policies and proceduresContributing to continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and operational efficiency within the sourcing functionPerforming additional duties as assignedWhat You BringMinimum Required Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcingExperience within the telecom, cable, or technology industry preferredSkills & Abilities for Success in This RoleStrategic Sourcing & ProcurementExperience supporting sourcing or procurement activities across telecom or indirect spend categoriesDemonstrated ability to assist with negotiating:Vendor agreementsStatements of Work (SOWs)Purchase ordersFamiliarity with legal and commercial contract terms and conditionsProject Management & CollaborationAbility to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and projects with strong attention to detail and accuracyComfortable working cross-functionally with:LegalFinanceITBusiness unit stakeholdersData Analytics & Supplier ManagementStrong analytical skills with experience leveraging data to:Drive sourcing decisionsIdentify cost-saving opportunitiesExposure to supplier performance management and vendor scorecard processesKnowledge of:Sourcing toolseProcurement platformsERP systems preferredCommunication & Technical SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office requiredAdvanced Excel skills strongly preferredWhy Join Us?This is an opportunity to build strategic partnerships, influence sourcing decisions, and contribute directly to business performance through smart procurement strategies.
