Registered Nurse II- 9C Short Stay

Located at MUSC Health's main hospital, 9 Center is a nine-bed ER overflow, Admission and Holding unit open 24/7. 9Center is designed to help alleviate boarding in the Emergency Departments. The unit serves direct and new admissions coming into the hospital from the ED under the medical-surgical service lines with a variety of diagnoses. 9 Center is designated and designed for the short-term treatment, observation until discharge, or next day transfer to inpatient units. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process at the beginner level. This role interacts with the interdisciplinary health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
