Job Overview We are seeking a hardworking Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse, lumber yard, or manufacturing environment and be comfortable handling raw materials and finished products. This Material Handler role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to safely work with lumber and material-handling equipment in a fast-paced production setting. Responsibilities Operate material-handling equipment to transport lumber and materials throughout the warehouse and yard. Load raw lumber onto production lines and remove finished products for staging and shipment. Pull and stage materials according to production schedules and work orders. Inspect lumber for damage, defects, and correct quantities before use or shipment. Organize lumber by species, dimensions, and grade while maintaining clean and safe storage areas. Keep production supplied with the materials needed to ensure continuous workflow. Assemble wooden furniture, trellis products, and other wood products using hand and power tools. Fabricate and assemble wood components while ensuring dimensional accuracy and structural integrity. Meet quality standards and production goals while following all workplace safety procedures. Perform general warehouse and yard housekeeping duties. Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures when handling long, heavy, or oversized lumber. Qualifications Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or Material Handler experience preferred. Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment is a plus. Ability to safely lift and move heavy lumber and materials throughout the shift. Comfortable using hand tools and power tools for product assembly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to read work orders and follow production schedules. Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
